Remote Control ? Yes your right ! It's just like using your TV remote control or any remote when accessing your home appliances. But remote control a PC goes another way. It allows you to control a one PC using another computer, and use it as if you are facing your own computer. You can control the mouse, the keyboard, everything. But you may think that is some sort of hacking ? If you hear the word hacking, I know it makes a bad impression to you. Not knowing that hacking has a good side also, like for example if you are working in a big companies, every PC Administrator has the right to see what you are doing in your PC, in short you are being monitored, for the sake of your companies productivity. And for example you need an online technical assistance for your computer, and the technical support have it fixed just doing via online or the so called Remote Desktop Assistance. Nowadays it is very easy to do this because of so many Free Remote Access Software, it require's less knowledge about computing, no headache configuration, all you need to do is simply install the software and you may remote access a computer regardless of where you are, you may now think that you may control other computer without their knowledge. Definitely NO !, It's not work in that way.
In general remote control a PC works by installing a software in your PC, sometimes called the HOST, and installing it also to another computer called the CLIENT, and if the client gives you the credential or the key then you will access that computer with full knowledge of the Client that you are accessing their PC for whatever purpose, it may be for technical assistance, to upload or download files etc, so there is no need for example a technical staff to go in your home and offer their service to you.
Now you have the idea, let's start but we need to install first the popular Remote Control Software called TEAMVIEWER.

Just install it. Now we're creating a scenario, let's say you are one of my friends, and you have a problem in your PC, your location is very far away to have me to go there. Now we're going to create a Remote Secure connection in order for me to access your PC and see what's the problem. Of-course we need Internet Connection. Follow the procedure.
1. Install the Teamviewer.
2. After the installation is completed, just open and it will look like this one.
3. You will see " Allow Remote Control ", and under that Your ID and Password, these are the credential that I will need to remote control your PC. You can give this special credential to me, like for example in Facebook Chat or any other secure chat application.
4. After I received the credential it is advisable to close all your online sessions, log-out your FB, email and other online application running, because it will affect the speed of connections.
5. Don't worry and don't be scared, because you will see what I'm doing on your screen, so that you will have peace in your mind that all your valuable information's are kept secret as it is. Below image show the connected remote control access in your screen. I am now connected, in that way I have the control over your PC and have the option to troubleshoot it.
6. If I want to transfer files to your PC, all I have to do is click File Transfer and the file will be transferred to your PC right away.
7. If I want to talk to you, Teamviewer has also a function called Voice over IP, where you can send your voice message in real time. It also capable of showing your real cam video.
8. Now that you know the procedure and you may want also to try this with your friend PC, for example you may want to upload a video, have him/her install first the software and run it. Get the ID and password of your friend and paste it under " Control Other Computer " - Partner ID. Then connect to partner.
9. Teamviewer version for Android devices are also available, great for people who likes to access their PC anytime or want to connect with other PC for business meeting. Just download it on Google Play.
10. Some IT pro, use this for remote presentation where they can invite participant/s and see their live presentation. Some used it for tutorial purpose where they can present the whole idea with voice and video function.
